I have a Grady Seafarer 226 with 2-stroke 200 Yamaha and a 4-stroke 9.9 Yamaha for a kicker. I bought the boat used with this configuration. The kicker was originally mounted on the Garelick bracket (71090) that is rated for 4-stroke engines up to 30 horsepower or 169 pounds. In a little less than 2 years I had 3 (yes, 3) of these brackets break. The extruded aluminum angle that forms the base of the bracket fails from stress.

The bracket is not warranted for us on a trailered boat. You must remove the motor every time it is placed on the trailer.
